Michelle E. RobersonAssociate
Michelle E. Roberson earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in both Business Economics and Law & Society with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. She acquired her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law. While Ms. Roberson’s practice concentrates in complex civil litigation, she has a range of experience in a variety of matters from minor traffic violations to the ever-evolving condemnation actions. She has represented clients in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in State and Federal courts. Ms. Roberson’s mastery of the Spanish language has provided her the opportunity to advocate for her Spanish-speaking clients in legal situations that can be daunting to a non-native English speaker. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Roberson worked as a paralegal for several years at a general practice firm. She also founded and operated a small company which has given her special insight into the financial intricacies of business-related matters. In law school, she interned for The Honorable Michael J. Haas, J.S.C. in Burlington County Superior Court. Her time with Judge Haas allowed Ms. Roberson to participate in a unique perspective of matrimonial matters. She was a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Fellow, which gave her the opportunity to teach Constitutional Law at a public high school. Ms. Roberson was also a site leader for the local Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program in Camden, New Jersey. Aside from being an avid litigator at Klineburger & Nussey, Ms. Roberson serves on the Board of Trustees for South Jersey Legal Services, Inc., which is part of Legal Services of New Jersey. Legal Services in New Jersey embraces the vision of full access to essential civil legal aid for all economically disadvantaged people who cannot secure a lawyer on their own, and through that legal aid equal justice, both substantive and procedural. It is clear that the core, root political consensus which supports funding of civil legal assistance to indigents comes from an underlying concern for fairness, and a conviction that important legal needs of individuals are addressed. She is also the Secretary for the Salem County Bar Association. During her free time, Ms. Roberson enjoys participating in charitable races, including triathlons, half-marathons, and the American Cancer Society’s annual 65 mile Bike-A-Thon. Education
